Horse Boarding, Horseback Riding Lessons in Virginia
Criswood II Horse Summer Camps

The goal of our horse summer camp is to give those that attend an all around knowledge and experience with horses.  You can expect to learn how to take care of horses, which includes such things as feeding and basic first aid for your horse. You will learn how to properly prepare your horse for riding including saddling and bridling.  You may also learn advanced grooming techniques such as clipping and braiding.

Each day begins with an hour long riding lesson. Throughout the week, beginner students can expect to learn proper equitation, how to walk, halt, steer and trot.  More experienced riders can expect to work on refining their equitation both at the trot and canter, adding in poles and small jumps.

Another goal of our camp is for everyone who attends to have fun. We will spend afternoons playing games that include our horses.  We will end the week with a party.
