Summer Camp is from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday thru Friday for children and adults ages 8 and up.
The camp consists of 14 children with 2 qualified instructors. The cost is $300.00 per week with a $50.00 deposit required at registration when reserving a week. The balance is due the first day of camp.
The goal of our camp is to give who attend all around knowledge and experience with horses. You can expect to learn about how to take care of horses. This may include such things as how to feed or basic first aid for your horse. You will learn how to properly prepare your horse for riding including saddling and bridling. You will also learn advanced grooming techniques such as clipping and braiding.
Each day starts with an hour-long riding lesson. Throughout the week, beginner students can expect to learn proper equitation, how to walk, halt, steer, and trot. More experienced riders can expect to work on refining their equitation both at the trot and canter, adding in poles and small jumps.
Another goal of our camp is for everyone who attends to have fun. We like to spend each afternoon playing games that include our horses, both mounted and unmounted. At the end of each week, we celebrate with a pizza party and costume class with prizes.
